C level Recreational Volleyball Players needed for Out Games

I am part of a C-level recreational group of Canadian players who will be attending the Outgames in Copenhagen.

We have five confirmed players but are looking to include another 3 players to our team.

If you happen to know of any players who are looking to join a team please encourage them to contact me.

Lynne will not be out this week for the usual Drills and Skills session. She will return in 2 weeks.
If there are teams wishing to use the time for practice (for the upcoming Montreal tournament) please contact info@gayottawavolleyball.com to arrange for court space.

BB TEAM LOOKING FOR 3 PLAYERS

-They would need 1 middle, 1 power and 1 opposite.

REC PLAYER LOOKING FOR A TEAM

-Dale form Syracuse is looking for a team.

WOMEN’S TEAM NEEDED

-One more women’s team is needed to complete the women’s division.

BB TEAM LOOKING FOR A/BB SETTER

-A team from Montreal (NUT 2 STR8) is looking for a strong setter

Drills and Skills March 25, 2008

Tonight we will have another session of Drills and Skills with Lynne from 6:30 to 7:30.

Tonight's focus:
SETTING AND OUTSIDE HITTERS (position 2 and 4 – target hitting, off the block, tips, etc); and
BACK COURT ATTACKS

Future sessions:
April 8: team session #2 or team play (court defense and covering)

April 22: open session

Volley-ball annulé cette semaine / No volleyball during Spring Break

Veuillez noter qu’en raison du congé scolaire du printemps, il n'y a aura pas de volleyball le lundi 16 mars et le mercredi 18 mars. Les activités reprendront le 23 et 25 mars.

Please note that the March spring break is this week and schools are closed; therefore there will no be volleyball on Monday, March 16th and Wednesday March 18th. Volleyball will resume as usual on March 23rd and on March 25th. / No volleyball this week.

Referee Clinic #2 - Wed. March 11, 2009

Lynne's original Drills and Skills session has been postponed to the end of the month, and so we are offering our second referee clinic tomorrow night from 6:30-7:30. Please arrive on time as we will begin at 6:30 sharp!

IF YOU ARE PARTICIPATING IN ANY OF THE UPCOMING TOURNAMENTS IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT THE CAPTAIN AND AT LEAST ONE OTHER MEMBER OF YOUR TEAM ATTEND AS YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO OFFICIATE GAMES AT THOSE TOURNAMENTS.

Even if you are not attending any tournaments we would encourage you to come out and learn the official rules of the game.
