Ottawa Pride and GOV

I hope everyone is having a fantastic summer!

This is a call to all you volleyball players out there to join us on Sunday, August 29th. We will once again be participating in the Pride Parade and would love to have as many people as possible come on out and be a part of the event.

If anyone is interested in walking the route with us or would like to help out in other ways (with decorations, helping out at the booth) please contact me at ddevette@gmail.com.

GOV 2009-10 End of Season Social Get-together

- share ideas for the upcoming 20th season of GOV.

Each league member receives:

Our GOV 2009-10 End of Season Tournament Continues Wednesday May 12th starting at 8PM sharp!

Our 2009-10 End of Season Tournament continues with three more rounds to be played.

Please ensure you arrive on time ready to Play and Ref as noted below:

Fourth Round Match starts at 8pm sharp:
B4 - Court B - Buddalicous vs Block Busters (Upsetters - Ref)

Fifth Round Match follows fourth round match:
A5 - Court A - Up Setters vs Winner B4 (Loser B4 - Ref)

Sixth Round Match follows fifth round match:
A6 - Court A - Juicy Fruits vs Winner A5 (Loser A5 - Ref)

Seventh Round Match only required if first lose for Loser A6. Only one game to 25, no cap, must win by 2 points.

2009-10 Regular Season Final Team Standings and End of Season Tournament

The 2009-10 regular season standings at the end of season are as follows:

1st place - Upsetters - 1,895 points
2nd place - Stuffed Olives - 1,891 points
3rd place - Juicy Fruits - 1,627 points
4th place - Rough Sets - 1,582 points
5th place - Buddalicious - 1,467 points
6th place - Block Busters - 1,457 points

Congratulations to the Upsetters!

For the next two Wednesdays May 5th and May 12th we will be hosting our end of season tournament from 8pm to 10pm each night.

The tournament format and rules are as follows:
- It is a double elimination tournament.

Drills and Skills is this coming Wednesday, April 21, 2010

The last Drills and Skills session will take place this coming Wednesday, from 6:45-7:45, due to next week's A Taste For Life event. Lynne will again focus on TEAM PLAY.
The gym is open at 6:30. We will be winding up the indoor season soon, but any practice is good practice (besides, beach volleyball season is just around the corner!).
