GOV 2010 Tournament

Saturday March 20 to Sunday March 21 2010

Gay Ottawa Volleyball (GOV) is once again pleased to welcome volleyball teams from across the country and from across the border to the 19th annual volleyball tournament to be held in Ottawa, Ontario on the weekend of March 20-21 2010. Again this year, the tournament will be played at the University of Ottawa gym located in the heart of historic Ottawa. Registration includes two days of volleyball along with an evening of food and fun for all.

Fees

The cost of registration this year is $600 per team (maximum of 7 players and minimum of 6). This includes the cost of the banquet on Saturday night. For more than 7 players, there is an additional fee of $50 for every additional team member. Extra tickets for just the banquet are available for $35 per person.

Fees must be received no later than Friday, March 10, 2010. Your fee includes the cost of the tournament as well as the Saturday night banquet and show. Extra banquet tickets for non-players can be purchased for $35 each in advance. Please be sure to include your team name on the back of your payment when submitting.

Accomodations

This year, GOV is pleased to once again provide a special hotel package for out-of-town teams in co-operation with the Courtyard by Marriott. The Courtyard by Marriott Ottawa is located at 350 Dalhousie Street in Ottawa's historic Byward Market district and is within walking distance to many famous attractions, such as the Rideau Canal, the National Arts Centre, the National Gallery of Canada and countless museums. GOV has made arrangement for standard rooms with 2 queen sized beds, high-speed Internet and other features at the special rate of $119 per night, single or double occupancy. Tournament Meet and Greet

The Meet n' Greet and Registration for the tournament will be held at the Lookout Bar (41 York Street) on Friday March 19th from 8pm to 10pm. Teams will be able to receive their tournament package, as well as meet up with other players, have a drink and dance.
